Dominican Republic is the second largest and most diverse Caribbean country, situated just two hours south of Miami, less than four hours from New York and eight hours from most European cities.


La Romana International Airport (LRM)


Located adjacent to the tourist town of La Romana and above Casa de Campo Resort. The airport, which opened in December 2000, is about 68 miles (110km) from the capital, Santo Domingo. The single terminal is built in the style of an old sugar mill. The Airport receives flights from the United States, Canada and Europe. Other flights come from other Caribbean islands like Puerto Rico and Cuba. The airport consists of a main terminal with 4 modern gates. It has facilities for passengers and for the maintenance of aircraft. This airport receives most of the private flights in the country, principally businessmen that come to La Romana for a vacation in Casa de Campo.

Punta Cana International Airport (PUJ)


A privately owned commercial airport in Punta Cana, eastern Dominican Republic. The airport is built in a traditional Dominican style with open-air terminals with their roofs covered in palm fronds. Currently, there are more than 5.1 million annual passenger movements in almost 60,000 commercial aircraft operations.

Las Americas International Airport (SDQ)


An international airport located in Punta Caucedo, near Santo Domingo and Boca Chica in the Dominican Republic. Las Américas usually receives Boeing 737, 747, 757, 767, 777; Airbus A319, A320, A330, A340; and many long-, mid-, short-haul aircraft. The airport is the second busiest in the country, after Punta Cana International Airport, and one of the largest in the Caribbean, handling 3.1 million passengers in 2012 through its air terminal.
