Cars for off-resort, carts for inside the gates. Casa de Campo is a 7,000-acre resort — you will want a golf cart to get around it. For off-resort day trips (Altos de Chavon is inside the gates, but the Marina, Bayahibe, La Romana town, Santo Domingo, and beach drives are outside) a car is faster and more comfortable than a taxi.

Cars & SUVs
Sedans, SUVs, minivans, and the occasional sports car (Mustang convertible, Camaro). Delivered to your villa fully fuelled. All vehicles include unlimited mileage; child seats and additional drivers on request. International driving permits accepted; valid licence required.
4-seater golf carts
The default in-resort vehicle. Two adults plus a couple of small kids, or one couple with golf bags. Most villas have a cart parking spot at the entry. Fits down all resort lanes including the narrower service drives. We deliver charged with the keys at the villa.
6-seater family carts
For families, multi-generation trips, and groups of friends who want to head to Minitas Beach or Altos de Chavon together without splitting up. Fits 4 adults + 2 kids or 6 adults comfortably. Premium 6-seaters with stretched cabins and rear-facing back seats available on request.
Delivery & pickup
Cars and carts are delivered to your villa before check-in and picked up at check-out. No standing at a rental desk, no shuttle to a depot. Tell us if you need the cart parked in a specific spot at the villa entry. For mid-stay swaps (4-seater to 6-seater for a wedding party day, for example) just let us know 24 hours ahead.

Pricing
Rates depend on vehicle class, rental length, and season. As a guide, 4-seater golf carts start in the low double-figures per day; 6-seater premium carts run higher. Cars and SUVs are quoted per day with multi-day discounts. Sports cars and exotics are quoted per vehicle on request. We send a written quote with all-in pricing before you commit — no surprises on the bill.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a car AND a golf cart?
Most guests rent both for a few days and just a cart for the longer stretch. The car covers your arrival airport transfer (if you opted to drive yourself), any off-resort day trips, and the airport return. The cart covers daily resort use — beach, restaurants, golf clubhouses, and Altos de Chavon.
Can I rent a car at the airport?
You can, but most of our guests prefer to be picked up by our private transfer service and have a car or cart delivered to the villa. It saves the rental-desk queue on arrival and the depot drop-off on departure.
What do I need to rent a car?
A valid driver licence from your home country, a passport, and a credit card for the deposit. International driving permits are accepted but not required. The minimum age for rentals is 25; younger drivers may incur a surcharge.
Are the golf carts charged when delivered?
Yes — carts arrive fully charged. We include a standard charging cable; most villas have an outlet at the entry. A fully charged cart will easily cover a full day of in-resort driving with battery to spare.
Are child seats available?
Yes — let us know ages and weights at booking and the right seats are installed before delivery. No extra charge for child or booster seats on either cars or carts.
What if the cart breaks down or needs service?
24/7 emergency support is included. We will send a replacement cart within an hour during the day and within a couple of hours overnight. Cars get a similar replacement guarantee, with same-day service for any mechanical issue.
