The Arrival at a Honeymoon Villa
The drive in from La Romana International Airport (LRM) takes twenty minutes through cane fields and the resort gate. A private transfer can meet the flight and drop you at the villa door — no lobby, no check-in queue, no keycard. By the time the bags are inside, the housekeeper has turned down the primary bedroom and the cook has left something cold on the terrace.
At Villa Uchi the first thing couples do is walk out to the walled pool: you cannot see it from the road, and nothing overlooks it. At Casa Ceiba it is the ceiba tree — a hundred years old, throwing shade across the back lawn with the gazebo underneath. At La Fabulosa it is the water, with the pool terrace facing the Caribbean and the Teeth of the Dog coastline running off to one side.
Then the staff step back, and it is just the two of you.
A Day With No Plan
Breakfast is whenever you come out of the bedroom. The cook works villa staff hours and prepares what you asked for the night before, so nobody knocks.
Mornings belong to the pool — walled and private at Villa Uchi and Casa Ceiba, facing open water at La Fabulosa. If you want sand, Minitas Beach is a short cart ride and your villa gets you in. Midday is a lounger and a plate of fruit, and the phones stay indoors.
Late afternoon, if you have arranged dinner in advance, the cook stays on to make it. Take it at the table, on the terrace or beside the pool — served to you, in your own house, with no other guests, no other tables and nobody else’s sunset deck to share. That is the part a resort honeymoon cannot do.

The Evening You Remember
Once in the week — usually the third or fourth night — ask the cook to serve dinner outside. At Villa Uchi the table goes beside the walled pool with the course dark beyond the hedge. At Casa Ceiba it goes in the gazebo under the ceiba tree. At La Fabulosa it goes on the ocean terrace while the water turns gold. Candles, two chairs, and nobody else on the property. Dinner falls outside standard villa staff hours, so it is arranged in advance as after-hours service — ask for it when you book, or the night before, and it is done.
The Wind-Down
By mid-week the housekeeper knows which towels stay on the deck and the cook knows whether breakfast is at eight or eleven. Nobody has to ask anymore. The pool is warm by ten, the lounger has a fresh towel every afternoon, and the days start running into one another — which is the whole point of booking a house instead of a room.

Do these villas work if family or friends join for part of the week?
Up to a point, and that is deliberate. Villa Uchi sleeps 6 and Casa Ceiba and La Fabulosa each sleep 8, so there is room for parents or another couple for a few nights without the villa feeling like a hotel. If all your wedding guests are coming, these are the wrong size — look at the large group villas (8+ bedrooms) instead, and keep a smaller villa for the days after everyone flies home.
We are only two people — is a 3 or 4-bedroom villa too much?
No, and it is how most honeymoon couples here book. Villas are priced per villa, not per guest, so a couple in a 3-bedroom pays the 3-bedroom rate whether they use one bedroom or all three. The only per-person charge is the Casa de Campo® registration fee ($30 per adult per night), so two people pay less of it than eight would. Three bedrooms is simply the smallest whole house at the resort — there is no studio or one-bedroom tier, and the trade-off for that is a pool, a cook and a garden nobody else uses.
We are getting married at Casa de Campo® — can you handle the honeymoon part?
Yes, and it is a common way these villas get booked. The ceremony itself runs through the Casa de Campo® events team, who have the venues and the licences for it. What we handle is the stay: the villa for the two of you afterwards, a larger villa for the family and friends during the wedding days, airport transfers, the cook, and the extras around it — sunset photography, a boat charter, spa appointments.
Most couples do it in two parts: a large group villa for the wedding days, then one of the three above for the week after everyone flies home. Tell us both sets of dates and we will hold them together.
How private are these villas?
Very. Villa Uchi is single-storey with a walled pool you cannot see from the road and nothing overlooking it. Casa Ceiba sits inland in Barranca, screened by mature garden on all sides. La Fabulosa faces open water on Costa Verde, so the only thing looking back at the pool terrace is the Caribbean. In all three you have the whole house and grounds, and the staff work set hours and then leave.
What is the minimum stay for a honeymoon villa rental?
Typically 3–5 nights at this size, with 5–7 the most common honeymoon booking. High season (December–April) and the Christmas and New Year windows carry longer minimums — some holiday dates require 7–14 nights. Shoulder months are the most flexible. The final minimum is confirmed at the quote stage.
Which neighbourhoods are best for a honeymoon at Casa de Campo®?
For couples, the quiet inland and golf pockets work better than the big beachfront estate rows, which are built for large groups. Golf Villas V and Barranca are green, low-traffic and close to everything without being on top of it — Villa Uchi and Casa Ceiba sit in those two. If you want water in the view, Costa Verde is the oceanfront pocket at this size, where La Fabulosa is. Punta Minitas and Caleton are beautiful but almost entirely 8–12 bedroom estates.
Can I walk to the beach from these villas?
Not directly — none of the three has sand at the door, which at this villa size is normal at Casa de Campo®. Minitas Beach is a short cart ride from all three (under ten minutes), and beach club access comes with the Casa de Campo® resort access fee, which is paid separately from the villa rate. La Fabulosa is oceanfront, so you have the sea in front of the pool terrace even though the swimming is at Minitas. If sand at the door is non-negotiable, it means moving up to a beachfront estate.
What hours does the villa staff work?
Standard staff hours are 8:00am to 5:00pm, and no staff sleep in; only at select villas do the hours vary from this. If you would like the cook or another staff member to stay later, for example for a late dinner, ask us in advance and you cover a transport allowance of US$60 per staff member for their ride home.
