Casa de Campo® villas are private residences, not event venues — they do not host the reception, the band, or the wider guest list. How a Wedding Weekend Works for Villa Guests
A wedding here runs across three or four days, and the villa is simply where your guests stay — their private home for the week, with bedrooms, pool and staff. The ceremony, reception and all wedding events take place at the resort’s venues, not at the villa.
Planning starts early — most couples hold a villa 12 to 18 months out and book the ceremony through the resort’s wedding team. The villa cook prepares everyday meals for the guests staying there, during villa staff hours.

Group Logistics at Casa de Campo®
Guests staying at the villa are registered with Casa de Campo® and pay the resort registration fee directly to the resort — it is not included in the villa rate. The wider guest list is handled through the resort’s own wedding booking. Staffing is set up for a group stay — a housekeeping team and a cook, with a butler standard on the 12-bedroom estates. Twelve to 18 months ahead for most dates, and earlier for weddings near Christmas, New Year, or Easter. The estates that sleep a large group of guests are few, so they fill first.
Can the ceremony or reception be held at the villa?
No. The villas are private residences, not event venues: they do not host the reception, amplified music, or non-staying guests. The ceremony and reception are held at the resort’s wedding venues through Casa de Campo®’s wedding team. The villas are only for your guests to stay in.
Which villas and neighbourhoods are best for wedding guests?
For guests who want the beach, the beachfront estates at Caleton and Punta Minitas. Villa Farallon at Punta Aguila suits guests who want a quiet clifftop stay with ocean views, and Casa Cana suits guests who want to play golf during their stay. All are minutes from the ceremony venues.
What venues does Casa de Campo® use for weddings?
The resort’s wedding team runs the venues, including the church and open-air amphitheatre at Altos de Chavón, ceremonies on Minitas Beach, and several event lawns. You book these through the resort; we coordinate the villa side.
Can we combine two villas for more wedding guests?
Yes. Casa Minitas and Villa Oasis sit in the same Punta Minitas pocket, which keeps guests split across two villas close together. Our large-group villas page covers the multi-villa arrangements.
What does the villa cook handle during the stay?
Everyday meals for the guests staying at the villa — breakfast, lunch and dinner — prepared during villa staff hours. All wedding catering, including the reception, is handled by the resort’s venue team.
How does the resort fee work for a wedding group?
Guests staying at the villa are registered with Casa de Campo®, and the resort registration fee is paid separately to the resort — it is not included in the villa rate. Day guests attending only the ceremony and reception are handled through the resort’s wedding booking, separately from the villa.
Where do wedding guests who are not in the villa stay?
Each estate sleeps 16 to 24 guests. The wider guest list stays elsewhere on the resort, in hotel rooms or additional villas taken for other family groups. We can help size and place those alongside the main estate.
What hours does the villa staff work?
Standard staff hours are 8:00am to 5:00pm, and no staff sleep in; only at select villas do the hours vary from this. If you would like the cook or another staff member to stay later, for example for a late dinner, ask us in advance and you cover a transport allowance of US$60 per staff member for their ride home.
