Walk in with the kids running ahead and the courtyard pulls them to the center of the house. A wooden plank crosses a reflection pool. Palms grow through the open roof above. It sits on a quiet road in El Ingenio, central to almost everything in the resort: beach, marina, championship courses, polo. The back rooms look out over the La Romana Country Club fairways. Six bedrooms sleep twelve, with an included cook handling all the meals.

Mornings start in different parts of the house. The cook is in the open kitchen pulling breakfast together while the grandparents are out under the covered terrace with drinks. Somebody's already in the hammock strung between two palms on the lawn. By lunch everyone moves to the long dining table outside, where ten or twelve can sit together under tasseled rattan lanterns without having to call ahead. In the afternoon the group splits up: the teenagers take over the blue game room for billiards while the younger kids cycle between the pool and the lawn, and one parent reads on a lounger. By sundown everyone comes back to the same table, the lanterns lit and the pool quiet behind them.

El Ingenio sits in the middle of the resort, which is the point. Minitas Beach is a short ride south, the Marina the same in the other direction, and the two championship courses tee off through the resort core. Altos de Chavón is a quick drive east when one of you wants the cobblestones and the view down to the river. Villa Alfa is the villa to book when three generations are travelling together and the trip needs to do everything at once.

Q: How does Villa Alfa work for a group of twelve traveling together?
The six bedrooms are spread across the single-level layout so each couple or small family can claim its own corner without sharing walls. The main living rooms, dining room, kitchen, and covered terrace all open onto the central courtyard, so groups naturally meet in the middle when they want to gather and separate easily when they don't. The outdoor dining table seats the full twelve under one roof for shared meals.

Q: Is Villa Alfa suitable for families with young children?
Yes. The layout is single-level with no internal stairs to navigate with toddlers, the pool sits behind the covered terrace within view of the main living rooms, and the lawn is wide enough for soccer or a hammock nap. Cribs, high chairs, and other baby gear can be arranged through the resort concierge before arrival. Bedroom configurations include doubles and twins, so kid-friendly sleeping setups are easy to coordinate.

Q: Can the villa host a private dinner or family celebration?
Yes. The outdoor dining table seats around twelve under three rattan lanterns, with a stainless-steel BBQ kitchen running just behind. The blue game room with the billiard table and built-in wet bar handles the rest of the evening, with a wine cooler, bar fridge, and stocked counter ready to go. For larger celebrations, the concierge can coordinate additional staff, catering, music, and rental setups.

Q: What's included in the nightly rate, and what's not?
The rate covers daily housekeeping, the cook handling all the meals, waiter service, and use of the villa and its private pool. Food and beverages, golf carts, baby gear, airport transfers, and personal services like spa treatments or in-villa massage are arranged through the resort concierge at additional cost. The 18% service fee and the Casa de Campo resort fee (US$30/adult and US$15/child per night) are added on top. Casa de Campo is a gated resort, so all guests register at the gate on arrival.

RESORT FEE
All guests renting private villas at Casa de Campo Resort are required to register to gain access to the resort and its amenities. Registration fees are set by and paid directly to the resort:
• US$30.00 per adult, per night (ages 13 and older)
• US$15.00 per child, per night (ages 4–12)
• Complimentary for children under 4 years old
