Villa Serenita - 6-Bedroom Marina-Front Bluff Estate | Bahía Chavón, Casa de Campo Resort
Villa Serenita - Mediterranean Elegance by the Sea
The villa wraps three pavilions around a courtyard pool, and most days the group splits across the property at once. Some are on the loungers watching the yachts move in and out of the bay, others at the ping-pong table on the back lawn while the smaller kids drift between the pool and the shade. The outdoor lounge pavilion has a sculpted white ceiling that domes up over the seating, and the group ends up there in the late afternoon with drinks before someone walks down to the Marina to pick a restaurant for the night. Inside, the long dining table seats twelve at once, with the doors open to the courtyard. By Friday no one is keeping a schedule, and there are enough corners in the property for everyone to be doing something different at the same time.
Bahía Chavón is the easiest base in the resort if you build the trip around the Marina. You can walk to dinner at one of the dockside restaurants in the evening, with the boats sitting right there in the morning when you come back for breakfast. Minitas Beach is a short ride away when the group wants the sand, and Altos de Chavón sits across the river for an evening at the cobblestone village. Golf and the spa are further into the resort core, a short drive each. Villa Serenita is the villa to book when twelve of you would rather walk to dinner than drive to it.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Q: Can Villa Serenita comfortably host 12 guests for a multi-family trip?
Six bedrooms sleep twelve, and the single-level Mediterranean layout suits groups travelling together. Three pavilions wrap a central courtyard pool, so kids can run between the lawn and the water while adults stretch out in the lounge or at the dining table without anyone tripping over each other. The dining table inside seats the full twelve at once, with another six-seater table outside under the palms when you want the meal alfresco.
Q: Is Villa Serenita a good fit for families travelling with young children?
Yes. The single-level layout means there are no stairs anywhere, and the back lawn is wide enough for a ping-pong tournament or a soccer game without leaving the property. One bedroom is in turquoise with a canopy bed for the teens, another has twin beds and a built-in bookcase corner for younger kids, and one of the bathrooms has coral-and-white striped walls that the kids tend to claim. The concierge can arrange baby gear ahead of arrival.
Q: What does the cook prepare, and can the villa accommodate dietary restrictions?
The cook prepares all three meals at the villa: breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The menu is planned around your group's preferences before arrival, with local Dominican dishes alternating with lighter pool-side lunches and longer evening meals depending on what you have on for the day. Dietary needs such as vegetarian or gluten-free can be arranged through the concierge with advance notice, and the waiter sets and serves at the long indoor table or outside under the palms.
Q: How close is the villa to the Casa de Campo Marina exactly?
Villa Serenita sits on the bluff directly above Bahía Chavón at the mouth of the Chavón River, with the Casa de Campo Marina a short walk down the path. You can leave the villa on foot for dinner at the Marina restaurants and be back for dessert at the villa. The pool deck and back lawn look straight out over the bay, so the yachts moving in and out are visible from your lounger. It is the rare villa in the resort where the Marina is the daily anchor rather than a destination you have to drive to.
