Pour the first round of drinks at sundown and the 8th fairway of Dye Fore is right there past the lawn, with the Caribbean a thin blue line beyond. La Florentina is a brand-new six-bedroom estate in Rio Arriba. It sleeps twelve across six suites, with an included cook for all the meals.

Mornings split early — three or four people up first on the back terrace with cups in hand, the rest filtering down as the light comes up. Carts head out for tee times by mid-morning. Once the heat lifts the pool deck fills in, and the outdoor kitchen takes over at lunch so no one has to cook indoors. A private putting green sits at one corner of the property for the round you didn't quite finish. By sundown the group settles around the long dinner table for drinks first and dinner course by course.

The villa sits in a residential pocket near Dye Fore. The pro shop is a short cart ride from the door, and Teeth of the Dog (ranked the Caribbean's top course by the World Golf Awards) and The Links are both within easy reach. Minitas Beach is close by for sand days, and the Marina works for dinner along the dock. The Racquet Center is the closest amenity overall, a few minutes' cart for tennis or pickleball. Q: Can La Florentina host three families travelling together?
Yes — six bedrooms across roughly 1,200 m² of living space mean three families can each take a wing of the estate without anyone tripping over each other. Several of the bedrooms have a second bed alongside the primary, which is well-suited to parents sharing with one or two younger kids. The great room and dining table seat the full group of twelve together when you want to be together, and the second living area gives the kids somewhere of their own when you don't.

Q: How does the golf work at La Florentina?
The villa fronts the 8th hole of Dye Fore, the cliffside Pete Dye course that runs along the Chavón River with sea views from several holes. The Dye Fore pro shop is a short cart ride from the door, with tee times arranged through the resort concierge and green fees paid at the pro shop. Teeth of the Dog and The Links are both reachable by cart in a few minutes; Teeth of the Dog is ranked the Caribbean's top course by the World Golf Awards. Rental sets can be arranged in advance if you're flying without your clubs.

Q: Is the villa set up for travelling with children?
Yes. The property has a wide lawn around the perimeter with mature shade trees, a secondary living area separate from the main great room, and several bedrooms configured with two beds for parents sharing with kids. The infinity pool runs along the back of the property — smaller children should be supervised, but the deck is wide and there's space for floats and toys. Baby gear, including cribs and high chairs, can be arranged through the resort concierge.

Q: Can La Florentina host a private dinner for our group and a few additional guests?
Yes. The indoor dining table seats around eight comfortably, and the great room flows into an open terrace under a wood-slat pergola for additional seating. A separate outdoor kitchen with a BBQ grill and bar is set up for grilling without leaving the group. RESORT FEE
All guests renting private villas at Casa de Campo Resort are required to register to gain access to the resort and its amenities. Registration fees are set by and paid directly to the resort:
