Padel has reached Casa de Campo® the way it reached Madrid and Miami: the Racquet Center now runs four glass-walled padel courts beside its 11 clay tennis courts, with lessons, clinics and a hitting-partner service built around them. Golfers who had not held a racquet in years are playing doubles at five o’clock while the light goes orange over the polo fields. If padel is part of your villa week, this is what it costs in 2026, how booking works, and which neighbourhoods put the court a two-minute cart ride from the front door.
Padel at the Casa de Campo® Racquet Center: The Facts
The Racquet Center is the largest racquet facility in the Caribbean: 11 Har-Tru clay tennis courts, four padel courts and a bank of pickleball courts, with more than 25 pros and junior professionals on staff and a full pro shop. It sits in the heart of the resort beside the polo fields, a short golf-cart ride from almost every residential pocket and a few minutes from the Las Canas villas that were built around it. Courts can be reserved up to one month in advance, must be booked on the hour at peak times, and every player checks in at the pro shop before walking on.
Padel Rates in 2026
All prices are the resort’s published 2026 rates, in US dollars, before tax, and subject to change:
- Court rental, daytime: $45 per hour
- Court rental, evenings after 6pm: $49 per hour
- Private lesson with a tennis pro: $89 per hour
- Private lesson with the Tennis Director: $99 per hour
- Semi-private lesson for two with a pro: $109 per hour
- Group clinic, minimum three players: $39 per person per hour ($45 with the Director)
- Children’s group clinic, minimum three: $39 per child per hour
- Hitting partner: $39 per hour
- Ball machine: $55; racquet rental: $12
For comparison, a tennis court is $39 daytime and $49 evening, and pickleball matches padel at $45 and $49. A group of four sharing a daytime padel court therefore pays about $11 each for the hour before tax — by some distance the cheapest hour of sport on the resort.
How Booking Works for Villa Guests
Villa renters hold resort access from the moment the resort access fee is paid, and the Racquet Center treats them exactly as it treats hotel guests. Reserve by phone or e-mail with the Racquet Center office, or ask our concierge to place the booking as part of your arrival planning; evening courts need a reservation at least four hours ahead, and a court cancelled with less than four hours’ notice is charged at 50 per cent. Lessons need 24 hours’ notice to cancel. Proper athletic clothing and non-marking court shoes are required — no swimwear from the pool, and no running shoes with dark soles.
Lessons, Clinics and the Junior Academy
Padel is easy to pick up and hard to put down, and the clinics are the quickest way in: an hour with a pro and two or three other beginners costs $39 a head and gets most people rallying by the end of it. Families travelling with children can put them in the children’s padel clinic at the same price, and for longer stays the Junior Tennis Academy runs twice-weekly afternoon sessions for ages five and up at $90 per month, with sibling discounts. Guests who want a game rather than a lesson can book a hitting partner or sign up for the social mixers the centre runs for evenly matched players.
Where to Stay for Padel
Two neighbourhoods make the Racquet Center a walk or a two-minute cart ride. Las Canas was laid out around the centre and the polo fields; its contemporary villas with outdoor kitchens and big lawns are the natural base for a racquet-sports week. Barranca, the elevated residential pocket just north, is the next closest. From the golf-side and beach-side pockets the ride is longer but still inside ten minutes by cart, and every CPH villa includes housekeeping and, at most villas, a cook, so the post-match lunch is already taken care of. Browse family villas if the children’s clinics are part of the plan.
