Beachfront Villas at Casa de Campo® Resort

Direct-Beachfront Villas on Punta Minitas with Private White-Sand Access

Beachfront at Casa de Campo® means the white sand of Minitas Bay is the daily backdrop. The terrace opens to it. The lawn runs to it. The kids walk into the Caribbean before breakfast. Caribbean Paradise Homes represents three beachfront villas on Punta Minitas — the resort’s northernmost peninsula — each one a direct relationship between villa and sand, ranging from five-bedroom beachfront estate to nine-bedroom private-beach villa. The price band reflects the positioning — beachfront is where the resort puts its largest oceanfront-with-direct-sand-access footprint, and the trade-off for the rate is the morning routine becomes “walk into the sea” rather than “cart ride to the beach.”

Caribbean Paradise Homes represents three beachfront villas at Casa de Campo®, each positioned for a different version of the trip: Casa Bahia Azul ($8,650/night, 5 bedrooms sleeping 10, multi-pavilion beachfront estate on the bay, the family-and-friends mid-tier); Casa Minitas 8BR ($9,200/night, 8 bedrooms sleeping 16, direct private-beach access with a dock running into Minitas Bay, the multi-family premium choice); and La Plage ($9,200/night, 9 bedrooms sleeping 20, the resort’s largest private-beach villa for milestone celebrations and reunions). Each sits directly on the sand. Each includes a cook handling all the meals.

Below: the three villas, what a beachfront stay actually looks like at Casa de Campo® across a week, how to choose between the three private-beach positions, and the logistics worth knowing before you book.

Casa Bahia Azul — multi-pavilion beachfront estate at Casa de Campo® Resort

The Arrival

The arrival. The cars roll up the driveway and the first thing everyone does is walk to the sand. At Casa Bahia Azul the multi-pavilion layout opens to a lawn that runs to the beach, the kids in the water by minute fifteen, the grandparents finding the rocking chairs on the covered terrace. At Casa Minitas 8BR the private-beach gate opens to the family’s own stretch of sand with the dock running into the bay — someone has a paddleboard out within the first hour. At La Plage the great room’s glass walls fold back to the beach, the long table is already set on the seafront terrace, and the welcome dinner conversation happens with the Caribbean a few feet behind it.

By dinner the cook has assembled the first beach-side meal — fresh fish from the docks, Dominican classics, kid-friendly options — and the long table on the terrace fills with the family. The first night is when the trip becomes a beachfront week. No one drives anywhere. No one needs to.

The Split Day

The split day. By the second morning, the rhythm is the sea. At first light the early risers walk down to the sand with coffee. The kids appear in swimsuits within an hour. Mid-morning the family is in the water — the bay at Punta Minitas is calmer than the open Caribbean to the south, so the swim is appropriate for kids who can paddle and adults who want a long swim. By noon the trade winds have picked up; the umbrella goes up on the terrace; the long lunch on the back terrace is the canonical mid-day moment.

While part of the group sticks with the sand, the rest splits to the resort. Teeth of the Dog — ranked the Caribbean’s top course by the World Golf Awards — tees off at the resort core, with The Links and Dye Fore (Pete Dye’s clifftop course) in easy reach. The Spa, the Equestrian Center, and the Marina all sit within easy cart distance. By mid-afternoon the group is back at the villa, the kids swimming the second time of the day, the trade winds easing for the sundown moment.

For groups larger than 20, see our 12-bedroom villas. For couples-only honeymoons our oceanfront villas collection includes the cliffside Caribbean-view positions that are different products from these direct-beach footprints.

Through the Beachfront Week

The Signature Beachfront Moment

The signature beachfront moment. Once a day — usually at sundown, sometimes at sunrise — the whole group ends up on the seafront terrace with drinks in hand. At Casa Bahia Azul that’s the multi-pavilion outdoor lounging zone with the bay laid out beyond. At Casa Minitas 8BR it’s the seafront patio with the dock visible to the right and the bay opening past it. At La Plage it’s the long terrace overlooking the private beach and the resort beach club glow visible down the sand. The cook has dinner ready on the terrace twenty minutes later. The conversation lingers because no one wants to leave the view.

The all-hands meal on the beachfront terrace is the photo every beachfront stay produces. We’ve placed hundreds of families and groups in these villas since 2003 — this is the moment that brings them back the next year.

The Wind-Down

The wind-down. By mid-week the beach has become routine. The kids know which corner of the lawn catches the late-afternoon shade. The adults know which lounger sits at the edge of the sand. The cook knows who likes their coffee strong. At Casa Bahia Azul the late-night zone is the indoor living room with the louvred shutters open to the sea breeze. At Casa Minitas 8BR it’s the seafront fire-pit area; at La Plage it’s the long terrace lit by candles.

The second half of the week is when the trip stops being a stay at a beachfront villa and becomes the villa itself. The staff have settled into the family’s rhythm. The concierge has Sunday brunch booked, the boat ride to Catalina Island scheduled, the spa morning on the calendar. The aggregator photo doesn’t capture this part. We tell you about it because we’ve been there.

How to Choose Between the Three

Three beachfront villas, three different beach trips. The choice usually comes down to group size, the privacy of the beach (semi-private bay vs. fully private sand), and how much large-group capacity the trip needs.

Pick Casa Bahia Azul when the group is 8–10 guests and wants the beachfront experience at the most accessible price band of this tier. Five bedrooms sleeping 10 in a multi-pavilion layout that gives two families room without sharing bathrooms. The bay at Casa Bahia Azul is shared with the resort — a few hundred meters of sand with Casa Bahia’s lawn opening directly to it. Best fit for a multi-family week or a small group who want beachfront without the milestone-celebration footprint of the larger options.

Pick Casa Minitas 8BR when the group is 12–16 guests, the trip wants a private dock for paddleboards / kayaks / sunset cocktail rides into the bay, and the family wants a beach that’s theirs alone. Eight bedrooms sleeping 16; full staff including waiter; the dock running into Minitas Bay is the differentiator. Best fit for a multi-generational family week or a small group that wants the welcome-dinner on the dock.

Pick La Plage when the trip is 16–20 guests and the event is milestone-scale — a multi-family reunion, a 50th-birthday week, an anniversary celebration. Nine bedrooms sleeping 20 with the largest private beach footprint we represent. The terrace fits the full group at one long table; the beach absorbs the kids and the adults at once.

If the group is larger than 20, ask us about combining La Plage with adjacent rentals. If the trip is smaller than 8 guests, our oceanfront villas collection includes smaller direct-Caribbean-view options.

What Is Typically Included

Full-time staff that scales with the villa: cook (handling all the meals — breakfast, lunch, dinner), housekeeper, and waiter added for table service at the larger villas. Casa Minitas 8BR and La Plage also include a daytime butler on standard. Pre-arrival planning with your Caribbean Paradise Homes specialist covers menu preferences (fresh-fish-from-the-docks is the default), dietary requirements, kids’ preferences, beach gear (umbrellas, paddleboards, kid life vests, sand toys), and any external vendors (additional bartenders, in-villa spa, kids’ nanny) the trip needs.

Cook capacity at beachfront scale: the cook handles all the meals for the full guest count without external catering for standard breakfast / lunch / dinner. For event-scale meals on the beach terrace — a milestone-anniversary tasting menu, a sundown welcome cocktail with a sushi station, a Dominican criollo feast — your specialist coordinates additional kitchen staff via the resort’s catering network. The standard cook service is not “breakfast and one main meal”; it’s all the meals, every day of the stay.

Booking lead times: Beachfront villas at Casa de Campo® book 6–12 months ahead in high season (December–April). Direct booking with Caribbean Paradise Homes since 2003 means no booking-platform fees.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are the villas truly beachfront?

Yes, but inventory is limited. Many villas offer ocean views with close proximity rather than direct access.

Are beachfront villas more expensive?

Typically yes, due to location and demand.

Do beachfront villas include staff?

Most include housekeeping and concierge services, with optional upgrades.

How far are beachfront villas from Minitas Beach?

True beachfront villas sit directly on or within steps of the water at Minitas Beach or along the resort’s private coastline. Oceanfront and ocean-view villas are typically a short golf cart ride away, with beach access included for all guests.

Can you swim directly from a beachfront villa?

It depends on the specific villa. Some sit on calm lagoon-facing water ideal for wading, while others are steps from swimmable beach. All resort guests have full access to Minitas Beach, which has a dedicated swimming area, beach club, and watersports.

What is the minimum stay for a beachfront villa rental?

Minimum stays are typically 3 nights, rising to 7 nights over Christmas, New Year, and Easter. Some villas have specific minimums set by the owner. Contact Caribbean Paradise Homes for exact availability.

Are pets allowed at beachfront villas?

Most beachfront villas at Casa de Campo® are pet-free, but several owners allow well-behaved dogs by prior arrangement. Pet policies, fees, and any breed or size limits are confirmed at the time of booking — contact Caribbean Paradise Homes for villa-specific details.

Is Minitas Beach private?

Minitas Beach is the resort’s main beach and is private to Casa de Campo® guests, owners, and authorized day visitors. It is gated, fully serviced (loungers, watersports, beach club, and dining), and accessible to every guest staying in one of the beachfront or oceanfront villas.
