Casa de Campo® Punta Minitas
Beachfront, Clifftop & Bayfront Villas at Casa de Campo®
Punta Minitas is the beachfront-to-clifftop pocket of Casa de Campo® around Minitas Beach, the resort’s primary sand, with clifftop villas above the Caribbean and a bayfront villa on Bahía Minitas. Nine villas across three sub-positions — beachfront, clifftop, and bayfront — make up the pocket.
What Defines a Punta Minitas Villa
Nine villas represented by Caribbean Paradise Homes at Punta Minitas span from intimate 5-bedroom escapes to a 12-bedroom estate. The pocket suits multi-generation family weeks built around the sand, clifftop honeymoons, and large group reunions of 16–24 guests across the beachfront cluster.
Who These Villas Are Perfect For
The pocket divides into three sub-positions: beachfront houses with direct or private-sand access, clifftop villas with the Caribbean as a long horizon line, and one bayfront estate with its own dock on Bahía Minitas.
What Makes a Punta Minitas Villa Different
Why They Sit at the Top of the Market
Direct beachfront, private-beach, clifftop oceanfront, or bayfront positions. Bedroom range from 5 to 12 — sleeping ~10 to 24 guests. Walking distance to Minitas Beach Club from the beachfront villas; the clifftop and bayfront villas reach the beach by a short cart ride. The Casa de Campo® Marina is a short cart ride away; Altos de Chavón is a drive across the resort; Teeth of the Dog (ranked the #1 golf course in the Dominican Republic by Golf Digest) is a short cart ride or a drive, depending on the villa. The included cook or chef prepares meals during villa staff hours — general staff working hours are 8:00am to 5:00pm, unless a staff member sleeps at the villa.
Life on the Beach
Minitas Beach Club — the resort’s primary beach, walkable from the beachfront villas (cart ride from the clifftop and bayfront sub-pockets). Teeth of the Dog — ranked the #1 golf course in the Dominican Republic by Golf Digest, a short cart ride or a drive. The Casa de Campo® Marina — restaurant strip, catamarans, sundown drinks, a short cart ride. Altos de Chavón — 16th-century-styled village with cliff-top restaurants, a drive across the resort.
What Is Typically Included
Punta Minitas is the answer for beach-focused trips — multi-generation family weeks built around the beach club, large group reunions of 16–24 guests, and clifftop honeymoons with the sea as the daily backdrop. Not the right address for golf-trip groups whose week is built around early-morning tee times, or couples seeking absolute privacy.
Pricing for Punta Minitas villas
Punta Minitas villa rentals run from $5,200 to $13,800 per night, depending on the villa, the time of year, and group size. Five-bedroom villas such as Punta Arrecife and Villa Santorini sit at the lower end; the 12-bedroom Casa Minitas sits at the top. Three of the villas in this pocket:
- La Plage — 9-bedroom beachfront estate with its own private sand: from $9,200/night
- Villa Mar Azul — 8-bedroom direct beachfront, infinity pool to the sand line: from $6,900/night
- Casa Minitas — 12-bedroom beachfront estate with the water-garden dining pavilion: from $13,800/night
Every Punta Minitas booking includes the property’s own staff (cook or chef for meals during villa staff hours, butler, housekeeping) and direct-with-owner rates — no booking fees, no third-party markup. Resort access is not included in the villa rate: it is granted once the Casa de Campo® resort access fee is paid. Frequently Asked Questions
Which kind of trip is Punta Minitas best suited to?
Punta Minitas is the answer for beach-focused trips — multi-generation family weeks built around the beach club, large group reunions where direct sand access matters. Not the right address for golf-trip groups where the morning tee time is the day’s anchor, or couples seeking absolute privacy.
How walkable is Minitas Beach from these villas?
Minitas Beach Club is a short walk from the beachfront villas — La Plage and Casa Bahia Azul are about 0.3 miles away, and Casa Minitas sits on the same beach. The beachfront sub-pocket (Casa Minitas, Villa Mar Azul, Casa Bahia Azul, Villa Santorini, La Plage) is closest with several villas sitting directly on the sand. The clifftop villas (Ocean Bliss, Casa al Mare, Punta Arrecife) are slightly farther.
Which villas at Punta Minitas have private beach access?
La Plage is the standout — its name reflects the private stretch of sand the villa fronts. Several other beachfront villas (Villa Santorini, Casa Minitas, Casa Bahia Azul) sit on or right beside the sand. The clifftop villas don’t have direct sand — they’re elevated above the water.
How does golf work from a Punta Minitas villa?
Three courses — Teeth of the Dog (ranked the #1 golf course in the Dominican Republic by Golf Digest), The Links, and Dye Fore. Teeth of the Dog’s oceanfront holes (“The Teeth”) run along the Caribbean coast. The first tee is about 1.2 to 2.7 miles away depending on the villa — a short cart ride or a drive. Tee times booked directly with the Casa de Campo® golf office.
What does the resort fee cover for Punta Minitas guests?
US$30 per adult (13 and older) per night, US$15 per child 4–12, complimentary under 4. Set by and paid to the resort, not Caribbean Paradise Homes. It gives access to the golf courses (green fees are separate), resort restaurants and sports facilities, free towels and loungers at the main hotel pool and Minitas Beach, and health care at the Central Romana Medical Center. The fitness center is paid separately.
What hours does the villa staff work?
General staff working hours are 8:00am to 5:00pm, unless a staff member sleeps at the villa. If you would like the cook or another staff member to stay later, for example for a late dinner, you cover a transport allowance of US$60 per staff member for their ride home.
