The Spa at Casa de Campo: The Complete 2026 Guide

May 28, 2026

A US$25 million spa is a statement, not an amenity. When Casa de Campo® rebuilt its wellness centre from the ground up, it didn’t add a few treatment rooms — it created the only Forbes Four-Star spa in the Dominican Republic, 2,000 square metres of it, and quietly raised the bar for what a Caribbean resort spa is allowed to be.

What the Spa at Casa de Campo actually is

The spa sits in the resort’s Rejuvenate wellness precinct, a short golf-cart ride from most villas. It reopened in early 2023, following a complete US$25 million rebuild and now spans more than 2,000 square metres of indoor and outdoor space, with 12 treatment rooms and a co-ed hydrothermal circuit at its heart.

The Forbes Travel Guide awarded it a Four-Star rating — still the only Forbes-rated spa in the country — and it has since drawn write-ups from Forbes, New Beauty and the trade press. That matters less for the plaque and more for what it signals: this is a destination spa built to international standards, not a hotel massage room with scented candles.

Specifically, the treatment philosophy leans on German wellness technology paired with family-owned luxury skincare houses — EviDenS de Beauté, Ayuna and Moringaïa among them — and local Dominican ingredients like moringa oil, honey, cane sugar and hibiscus. In other words, it’s a deliberate mix of high-tech and garden-to-skin.

The hydrothermal circuit: the part most guests miss

Here’s the single most useful thing in this guide. Your treatment is only half of what you’re paying for — the hydrothermal circuit is the other half, and it’s the part first-timers skip because nobody explains the timing.

The circuit is a sequence of hot-and-cold experiences designed to move blood, loosen muscle and reset your nervous system before a single hand touches you. It includes:

  • A sauna and steam bath
  • A vitality pool and a cold plunge pool
  • Thermal loungers (heated, contoured stone)
  • A Kneipp Walk — a cold-water reflexology channel you wade through
  • An outdoor pool for sun-warmed recovery afterwards

Therefore, to use it properly you need to arrive 90 minutes before your treatment. In practice, most guests turn up fifteen minutes early, miss the circuit entirely, and pay full price for half the experience. Bathing attire is required throughout the hydrothermal areas, so pack a swimsuit for your spa day.

Importantly, for families: the hydrothermal circuit and treatment areas are strictly 18-plus. Children can receive selected treatments only in the spa’s Tandem Treatment Room, and only alongside a paying adult who stays present. If you’re travelling with kids, plan your spa visit as adult time — see our family guide (/casa-de-campo-for-families/) for how other families structure their days.

The treatment menu, decoded

The spa organises its services into three collections. The menu changes seasonally, but the structure holds.

Wellness Journeys

The signature, longer-format experiences — the ones the spa is built around. Expect 90 minutes to nearly two hours.

  • Casa de Campo Detox & Restore — built on the Gharieni MLX i3Dome, a touchless infrared detox pod, with full-body exfoliation, a detox session, a face cleanse and a garden shower.
  • Organic Garden-to-Table Glow — all-natural ingredients (honey, moringa oil, cane sugar, hibiscus) for a full-body glow.
  • The Signature Body Journey, the Beautifulness Ritual, The Art of Self-Love and Essentials round out the collection.

Facial Collection

Prescriptive, brand-led facials — this is where the luxury skincare houses come in.

  • The Extreme Facial and Bespoke Beauty Ceremony by EviDenS de Beauté
  • Well-Aging Facial Ritual and Volcano Lift by Ayuna
  • Casa de Campo Organic Facial by Moringaïa
  • Gentlemen’s Bespoke Facial — a proper facial built for men’s skin

Massages

The collection guests rate most consistently in reviews.

  • Signature Massage and Intensive Body Relief by Casa de Campo
  • TACTIL-C by Ayuna
  • Jardin de Grasse and Cèdre Séculaire by EviDenS de Beauté
  • Himalayan Salt Stone Massage

Across review sites, the massages and individual therapists draw the strongest praise — guests routinely call them among the best they’ve had. The fairest summary: the hands-on quality is excellent; the premium is real. Go in knowing the price and the value lands.

What the Spa at Casa de Campo costs in 2026

This is where the resort stays vague and we can be specific. Prices shift with the season and the menu, but the 2026 anchors are:

TreatmentDurationPrice (before tax/service)
Casa de Campo Detox & Restore (Wellness Journey)1 hr 50 minUS$365
Organic Garden-to-Table Glow (Wellness Journey)1 hr 50 minUS$365
Deep-tissue couples massage50 minfrom US$200 per person

Now the part that catches people out. Every price is subject to 18% legal tax plus a 10% service charge — roughly 28% on top of the headline rate. That US$365 journey is closer to US$467 once it’s signed to your villa account. Budget for it so the bill at the end is calm rather than a surprise.

Two ways to soften it: villa owners receive a discount with their Courtesy Card, and treatments can be charged straight to your villa account, paid by card, in Dominican pesos at the day’s rate, or with a Casa de Campo gift card.

Spa treatments at your villa

The detail no aggregator and no competitor villa site spells out: you don’t have to go to the spa at all. A therapist can come to you.

In-villa massages and treatments are one of the quiet luxuries of renting at Casa de Campo — a couples’ massage on your own terrace at sunset, no golf-cart ride, no locker room, the kids asleep inside. Our concierge team (/guest-services/) arranges it as readily as a private chef or a pre-stocked fridge, matching the therapist and treatment to what you want and timing it around the rest of your day.

For the full hydrothermal circuit you’ll still want to visit the spa itself — that infrastructure can’t travel. But for a straightforward massage or facial, in-villa is often the better call: more private, more relaxed, and no 90-minute lead time.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does the Spa at Casa de Campo cost?

Signature Wellness Journeys run around US$365 for a 1 hour 50 minute experience, and a 50-minute couples massage starts near US$200 per person. Every price carries 18% tax plus a 10% service charge — about 28% on top — so a US$365 journey lands closer to US$467. Villa owners receive a Courtesy Card discount.

Is the Spa at Casa de Campo worth it?

For the treatment quality, yes — the massages and therapists earn consistent praise, and it’s the only Forbes Four-Star spa in the country. The value depends on using the whole experience: arrive 90 minutes early for the hydrothermal circuit so you’re paying for two hours of spa, not twenty minutes of it.

Can I have a spa treatment at my villa?

Yes. In-villa massages and treatments are one of the advantages of renting a villa at Casa de Campo. Our concierge arranges a therapist to come to your villa at a time you choose — ideal for couples and for parents who’d rather not leave the kids. The full hydrothermal circuit, however, is only at the spa itself.

Do I need to book the spa in advance?

Yes, advance booking is strongly recommended to secure your preferred time and treatment, especially in high season and over the holidays. If you’re renting through us, ask our concierge to book it before you arrive so your spa day is locked in.

Can children use the spa?

The hydrothermal circuit and treatment areas are 18 and over. Minors may receive selected treatments only in the Tandem Treatment Room, alongside a paying adult who remains present throughout.
